Character InformationName: Peter Benjamin Parker
Canon Origin/Series: Ultimate Spiderman
School Year: 4th
Gender: Male
Age: 14
Out of school living location: Birmingham, England.
Blood status: Half-blood
Personality:Since his uncle died, Peter has gone out of his way to help those around him, be it protecting them from bullies, helping them with studies, even offering them enough money to buy something they need or want. He always tries to help in the best way possible, he'd give someone the clothes off his back if they were both freezing to death. He holds what happened to his uncle in guilt and uses it to try to be a better person. He'll stop at nothing to make sure his uncle didn't die in vain.
He is rather good natured and tries to do what he thinks is the right thing. He learned quickly what revenge and vengeance can bring, suffering, and he doesn't think people should have to suffer. That being said, he does have moments of being an utter jerk like when he leaves his highschool bully, Flash Thompson in a locker as spiderman in revenge. He's no goodie two shoes who always does the right thing, either, despite how academically involved he is, if he has to he will do just about anything to get around a problem; an example for this would be when he “borrowed” an item from Shield to use as his science fair project.
Parker is highly intelligent, a fast learner, one might call him a genius. In the series he refers to himself as a “science prodigy” and is often seen messing around in the science lab and creating things most might think impossible. He enjoys to learn and loves to put what he's learned to use. When he meets Iron man in the series, he seriously fanboys over him, not only for the fast life he lives but for what he does with science showing that he has set goals on how good he wants to be. He immediately started talking to Tony about a way to track gamma radiation to find an evil do-er. He's what a lot of people would call nerdy when it comes to learning.
He has a habit of using sarcasm and jokes at the worst times, well, to be fair, he's constantly cracking jokes and using sarcasm, it's just less funny when he's in a dire situation. It's most likely a coping mechanism to make himself feel better when he's nervous or scared. He even says in one episode that he gets scared all the time, but that doesn't mean he can just run away. This sassy behavior could be classified as irreverent or even rude with some of the jokes he makes. Though he never seems to mean it in any malicious way, even when teasing baddies.
Never one for much teamwork, Peter tries to settle things by himself, often not wanting to place the burden upon others when he thinks he can handle it. It's a slight superiority complex he has, as well. He thinks he can take the world on by himself and win, which is one of his biggest downfalls. He knows he's highly intelligent and capable but he overestimates himself quite a lot and underestimates his enemies even more. He's the typical loner that really needs to realize teamwork can be a really good thing.
Canon Background: Ultimate Spiderman - This is the main version of him I am using but it really is just a mixture of most of the Spiderman canon out there, from the comics.
Peter Parker - General Peter Parker from the Marvelverse which I also incorperate parts of in, such as unstated things in Ultimate Spiderman that are explained in the Comics. Like where his parents went. (They were CIA agents that were KIA).
Background (AU!Canon; HP): Pooting Peter Benjamin Parker was born August 15th in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire to Richard and Mary Parker. Two of the SIS' most active agents, traveling constantly left them little time for their son whom they turned over to Ben and May Parker when they did not have time to take care of his needs, which was often. They, of course, took Parker in in fond regard due to the fact of May's infertility. Peter spent much time with his aunt and uncle and was flown back and forth between Birmingham and Yorkshire at least a hundred times by the age of six, due to his parents wanting to see him “when they had time.” It was at age six that they were informed his parents were killed in action, their charred remains found on scene where they were stationed. The only thing he had really connected to them was his pet cat Pillow that they had given to him for his sixth birthday that had just passed.
He was never sheltered from the world of magic, his parents were both very involved in the magic society, which tied in heavily with their job. His aunt and uncle were also very fond of their magical ties. Uncle Ben often told stories and adventures he had at Hogwarts. This fascinated the young Parker and he dreamed of the day he could go to such a school.
Growing up, Peter was never spoiled, despite the money he had to his name from his parents. His aunt and uncle made sure he was happy but not spoiled, making sure he would always be humble and thankful for what he got. Teaching him the values of money, and raising him as their own, he loved them like they were his mother and father, and he would argue with anyone that tried to say they were any less deserving of the title. Of course, despite his well manners he was immature, slightly emotionally spoiled by his aunt and uncle. This was his downfall; at age ten Peter was at a local shop one of the staff members tore into him and started badmouthing his uncle so of course when he saw the guy with the gun walk in, he didn't go to warn the guy behind the register that he was putting a mask on in one of the aisles or that he had a gun. Instead he stayed silent and continued to decide which sweet he wanted to get himself and which sweet he wanted to get Uncle Ben and Aunt May. It wasn't his problem, and anyway it wasn't like the other guy was stupid enough to actually defend the money and get shot, it wasn't his problem.
It became his problem when he heard his name get called by his uncle in a rather frantic manner and then the gun-shot.
He had gone in there scared for Peter's safety, it was stupid, but it was loving. In his fear, he scared the robber who shot him. If Peter had told the cashier, he could have called the cops, there would have been enough time. Because he wanted to see petty revenge of a cashier getting scared and robbed his uncle died.
The funeral was a quiet one and Aunt May cried and cried while Peter felt more and more guilty. It was that day that he decided to do his best at wizardry, because he knew that's what his uncle loved so much. It wasn't hard, Peter's a fast learner and he's as good with as he is with science. He's no Tony Stark, but he is up there. After things seemed to settle down, he lived with his aunt, until he got the acceptance letter, the very letter he had been waiting for.
He, immediately bought what he needed, his aunt telling him he was allowed to spend what he needed on school stuffs. Of course what he heard was “Spend as much as you like, Peter.” He got a female barn owl, which he lovingly named Oxytocin after the hormone related to love. Science nerd, remember? Along with Oxy he got his wand, (and of course books and all that rad stuff.) a 12 1/3 inch semiflexible cherrywood with a unicorn hair core.
His hobbies include science and magic related things, he wants to be the best wizard he can as a remembrance to his uncle and to be able to protect his aunt and anyone else if he ever needs to. His interest in science is not as extreme as his interest in magic and for the most part he dropped the idea of going into a career with it, his interest shifted to mainly focus on magic; not that he doesn't still dabble in science. He also really enjoys parktour, you know, jumping around off walls and generally anything he can, he really enjoys the wall crawling bit of it for some reason. As stated before, he has a cat, a white british longhair named 'Pillow' because he was six. That makes it ok.
It could be noted that he is a bit of a fanboy of Tony Stark, finding almost everything he's done and how he acts totally awesome.
Dragon. How would your character fit in to each House? Gryffindor: Peter would fit in pretty well in Gryffindor, he has never had a lack of courage or bravery. Despite his 'sassy' attitude, he is rather chivalrous, he respects people and tries to help out if he can. He says what he thinks and doesn't lose his nerve about things very often at all and if he does it's only for a few fleeting moments.
Hufflepuff: Peter might have some trouble fitting into this house, despite being loyal to the very end and a hard worker, he's not always one to play fair, and he certainly does not have a lot of tolerance. That being said he does try most of the time to be fair and tolerant, it just doesn't always go as he plans it. Most of the time he means to do the 'right' thing but if he sees bending the rules as more efficient or finding loopholes then he goes for it.
Ravenclaw: Peter would fit in pretty well in this house, a big part of his personality is his witty nature, always thinking and always having something to say; creativity ties in here because he always thinks up things to say or things to get around his problems. He is highly intelligent and is aware of it. He loves to learn and makes it his goal to learn as much as he can both as a promise to his uncle and just because he enjoys it. He often cares more about his learning than social matters and trying to make friends, going as far as to frown and distance himself from the 'delinquent' students.
Slytherin: Peter would probably have a lot of problems trying to fit into this house correctly, he is quite ambitious but not to the point where it outweighs everything nor is he really all that cunning, he uses what most would find morally acceptable means to get to his goals. He holds doing the right thing a bit too strongly to fit properly into Slytherin. It isn't his biggest personality trait, because he doesn't always do the right thing, but he tries to. That being said, he does have issues playing things as a team and tries to do everything by himself, wanting to lead even if that means clashing with whoever he's working with.
